BalanceMe Tinted Wonder Eye Cream

I'm a bit rubbish when it comes to eye creams - I don't often buy them. While the 'insides' of my eyes can be sensitive if I get certain cleansers in them, the area around my eyes isn't so I use my acid toner and serum around them. A lot of eye creams are expensive, so if you can't afford one think about using your serum around your eyes. Currently I'm using Clarins Double Serum and experience no irritation when I use it on the eye area.

I got this eye cream in Februarys Prescription Lab box, so I've had it for over three months. It went missing some time in March and I just found it in a box at the beginning of May. I've been using it every day since so I'm ready to tell you what I think!

BalanceMe is a British brand that was founded by sisters Claire and Rebecca Hopkins who aim to provide botanically active formulations made in the UK. Their ethos is to find a work-life balance and incorporate natural skincare alternatives. If you would like to read more about the brand click here.

Wonder Eye Cream comes in two types - with or without added colour correcting pigment, mine is with. I have 10ml of product in mine, although the regular size seems to be 15ml - standard for an eye cream. It states on the packaging that the product is 95% natural.

There are some lovely ingredients in this eye cream. One of my favourites is hyaluronic acid, but it also contains witch hazel, cucumber oil, rosehip, jojoba and carrot seed oil as well as a host of others.

It's a very light cream that sinks in quickly and doesn't sit on the skin. It's very much suited to use in the morning as I find that I can apply it without feeling greasy. It's a nice creamy consistency, but doesn't make your eye area 'goopy' - it sinks in straight away if you tap it in gently with your fingers. Although it does have a colour correcting pigment, I don't find that it gives me any coverage - if I buy it again I would go for the regular version. It's not that I don't like it, it just doesn't do anything for me.

I don't have any wrinkles (yet!) but I do have a couple of very fine lines just under my lashline - these can be annoying as certain concealers sink into and exaggerate them. I like this cream because the hyaluronic content instantly plumps and smooths them, making make-up application easier. My under eye feels hydrated and comfortable when I apply this. There is the slightest feeling of tightness but it goes away very quickly, and this is again due to the hyaluronic. There is almost no smell, something very faint and organic.

I don't use much of this in the mornings, a tiny dot under each eye smoothed and patted in. At night I use more to get in some extra hydration. I apply eye cream right after toner and before serum - there isn't much point in applying it after serum, it's a waste of product as your eye cream may not sink through your serum and other products. Many serums have oil in the ingredients and your eye cream won't be able to penetrate it - using your eye cream on bare skin will give you the best results.

Overall, I like this eye cream! It's really nice for the price - many eye creams are over the €50 mark and this retails on the Balanceme website for £20. I've also seen it on Amazon France for around €23 and Littlewoods Ireland for €24.99.

I'd say if you're around my age or younger (30) and you have normal/dry skin with a few fine lines you will like this. If you're older and you are looking for a light; affordable eye cream to give your eyes some plumpness in the morning you may also like it. I don't think that it would be the best eye cream of choice for more mature skins or someone with deeper lines - the plumping effect from the hyaluronic is temporary and you may want to look at an eye cream with retinol content.

I will continue to use this, and so far I'd say I would buy it again - I like the price almost as much as I like the effects of the product! It's a really light, hydrating cream that gives you a nice plump eye base. I would however prefer something a bit heavier for overnight, so I recommend this as a day eye cream. I'm also interested (of course) in the cleansers offered by the brand, so you can expect to see more from Balanceme on here!

Thanks for reading, as always!

CloudCloth® - Sustainable, Recyclable Beauty

Hi Everyone! Let's talk cleansing cloths. In my book, cleansing cloths and flannels are a must-have. I know that a lot of people prefer to splash off their cleansers, I have tried this but for me cleansing revolves around a flannel, AM and PM. Aswell as ensuring that your skin is free of residual cleanser before you start into your routine, you can use your flannel to give your skin a light exfoliation - I would recommend using cotton for this, to be as gentle to your skin as possible These were kindly sent to me for review by CloudCloth®, and I've been using them for the last few weeks so I feel like I'm ready to give you my thoughts. Let me first give you some information about the company. CloudCloth® is based in the UK and was set up in 2017, in Manchester. Their ethos revolves around encouraging people to switch to reuseable and recyclable cleansing tools. From the site 'As a Brand, we want to give something back. We are supportive of our community of c...

Alpha H Daily Essential Vitamin Mist

I love a good mist. I'm obsessed with anything skincare-related in mist form, especially toners and my @klytiaparis Voile Lacte Moisturiser (reviewed here ). So I was seriously excited to try Alpha H's mist offering, I'm now on my second bottle so can tell you my thoughts! If you don't know of Alpha H you should - and here is a quick run-down. It's an Australian skincare brand founded by Michelle Doherty and has been around for over two decades. Their star product is undoubtedly their Liquid Gold Glycolic Acid toner, which I am a huge fan of and have been using for over a year with stellar results - if you are dry/dehydrated and have issues with texture or redness this could be a skin saver for you. Everyone needs an acid toner in their life and this is by far my favourite (I've tried Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner reviewed here and Pixi's Glow Tonic which, quite honestly, did nothing for me). Back to the mist! The packaging is quinte...

New CID Cosmetics i-glow Shimmer Powders in Coral Crush and Sirocco

If you watch my Instagram stories you know that I originally ordered Coral Crush after I had seen Caroline Hirons say how much she loved it on her stories. After having Coral Crush for a few weeks I picked up another I-glow in Sirocco, the brush that is designed for use with them and a cream eyeshadow. In this post I'll review the two I-glows. On the  New CID Cosmetics website the I-glows are described as ' an innovative and luxurious formula of  baked pigments...to bring a radiance to the skin for a lit from within look ' Coral Crush Described as a ' luminous peachy coral blush with soft gold sparkle suitable for all skin types '. This is a really stunning product, both visually and on the skin. It comes housed in a sturdy white compact with an inside mirror. Although the compact is really pretty and chic, white probably isn't the best colour for it - mine is already covered in fingerprints...! Not a huge issue, but I'm a bit of a neat freak when it...
