Indie Lee Rose Hip Cleanser

I asked on Instagram Stories if anyone wanted a review of this cleanser and the response was positive so here we go! Indie Lee is an American brand that has a focus on natural ingredients and sustainability. Indie herself overcame a life-threatening brain tumour in 2009, and decided to start a cruelty-free, natural, toxin-free brand. This is my first purchase from the brand, and I've been really enjoying it. A light gel cleanser that is paraben-free, sulphate free and artificial fragrance free, it also boasts an extremely and refreshingly short ingredients list: Water, Sodium Olivate (Fatty Acid from Olive), Glycerin, Rosa Rubiginosa Seed Oil, Chondrus Crispus, Eriobotrya Japonica Extract That's it, nothing more and nothing less. No arm-length list of ingredients that are bewildering for most people and a pain to research. The key ingredient is rosehip oil, which has a wide range of benefits such as soothing stressed skin, improving moisture levels and helping to ca

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% - a go to for tired or hungover skin!

How I do love a good acid. Glycolic, which is an AHA and best suited to my dry skin is my favourite, but I do like to add some salicylic, which is a BHA, to the mix if my skin is breaking-out. My favourite glycolic acid product is Alpha H Liquid Gold, which is a toner than I use every other night to keep my skin smooth and bright - such is the magical nature of glycolic. But what do you do when you wake up with tired, dull skin after a night of festivities? Enter The Ordinarys AHA BHA Peeling Solution. Like most of their liquid/oil products this comes in a small glass bottle, boasting a frosted finish like their HA which I love and reviewed  here . It also has that same glass pipette, allowing you to customise the amount of product you use without waste. The product itself is dark red, which gives you the look of Kim Kardashian doing a 'Vampire Facial' while you have it on your face, and in my experience does a stellar job of scaring the bejeesus out of any kids or un

Can we talk about coconut oil?? (we have to)

I thought the coconut oil situation had ended, I didn't think I'd be compelled to write a post on it - but here I am. The beauty world went nuts for coconuts a couple of years ago, and while most people seem to have finally gotten bored of it and gone back to using actual skincare products, the myth persists. On Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and a plethora of beauty sites and blogs you will find people talking about coconut oil as though it's the end solution to all manner of skincare and beauty problems. While personally I believe that most of this is driven by peoples need to be part of each current fad, a genuine want for natural skin and bodycare and the fact that it can be bought cheap as chips, there seems to be a genuine amount of people out there who actually believe that coconut oil has saved their skin - and if you believe in something hard enough it starts to seem true. But it's not. Personally the thought of slathering my face, hair, teeth or b

Darphin Paris Hydrating Kiwi Mask

I've said it before and I'll say it again - hydrating masks don't excite me. I'll swoon over a good acid peel, an efficient clay or a radiance mask but when it comes to hydration masks I'm a bit 'meh'. I've been using Kiehls Overnight Hydration Mask for ages, it's nice and does what it says but when it comes to my skin I can hydrate with hyaluronic acid serum and moisturisers - when it comes to masks I want brightening, plumping, smoothing and all of that magic. The only exception to this rule up to now is Clarins Hydra Quench Cream mask. I finished the one I bought last year ages ago, and though the mask itself is nothing extra special I've kept the packaging as the smell is to die for (citrusy Clarins) and it reminds me of my best friend who no longer lives in France as she was a huge fan of it and I bought it when I was with her on one of our Champs Elysee wine and shopping days💓. But surprisingly, I have a new favourite hydration mask on m

The Ordinary Hyalronic Acid 2% + B5 - a new favourite and affordale HA

I am SO late to the party with Deciem, notably The Ordinary, their drugstore-priced skincare range that just about offers something for everyone. This range is a seriously pocket-friendly option for those who want specifically targeted skincare, and the products boast high performance ingredients such as AHAs, caffine, niaminicide and hyaluronic acid. My only previous experience with TO was their Retinol 1%, which if you read my review here you know was a fail. I put off ordering anything else because everything I wanted was ALWAYS sold out, so when I saw the Hydrating Collection on QVC France for €34, I went for it - I got the lot for €19 thanks to a voucher I'd forgotten I had. The Hydrating Collection I was most excited for two products - the AHA Peel and the Hyaluronic Acid. HA and I met a couple of years ago and have been going strong ever since. I've tried quite a few HA products in different forms and have found that for the best results, it's best in serum
